Great Brittain - Denmark 16.00 - 11.50 - 1,06
Great Brittain has been beaten twice in this tournament first by Germany (3-1) and then hammered by Canada (0-8). Brittain has scored once, only leaving Italy behind, who have not even scored yet. Denmark fought a 5-4 overtime victory over France in the opener, but lost a low scoring match to Germany the day after (1-2).
It is hard to find anything playable in this game, but goal ammounts have something in it. Denmark has a lot of scoring potential Nicklas Jensen, Mikkel Bödker and Lars Eller leading the way. I also can imagine Great Brittain finally get their second goal in the tournament. Over 5,5 goals gives nice odds, so we will roll with that.
PICK:
Over 5,5 goals 2.00Italy - Latvia 17.00 - 9.50 - 1.11
As said earlier, Italy has not scored yet in this tournament while giving away whopping 17 goals in two games. Latvia beat Austria in their opener 5-2 but lost to Switzerland in the second game 1-3. Latvia is no doubt a massive favorite here and they have couple of players coming from North American leagues to give strenght to their squad, like their leading point scorer Rudolfs Balcers, who is part of Ottawa Senators organization.
Previous meeting between these teams have been low scoring matches, but those games are from 2017 and 2015. Italy giving away 8,5 goals per game and with Latvias potential to score over 5,5 goals is a nice looking pick.
PICK:
Over 5,5 goals 1.98Germany - France 1.47 - 5.20 - 5.20
Germany will be taking on France in their third game of the tournament. Germany has won both of their first games beating Denmark 1-2 and Great Brittain 3-1. France has lost both of their games, first to Denmark 5-4 OT and then to USA 7-1. Adler Mannheims Matthias Plachta has three points in two games and is leading Germany in point scoring. Valentin Claireaux also has three points and leads France in points. Germany's biggest star Leon Draisaitl has point in each game so far.
I'm expecting a low scoring game. Germany doesn't score many goals, but doesn't give them away either. France has had two high scoring games but one of them was against the US, who are among the favorites to win the whole tournament. Bookers are also expecting this to be more like a low scoring game, so I will try something different and pick Germany to win the first period. On Veikkaus you can bet on both winner and goal ammount. Germany to win and under 5,5 goals gives 2.25 odds there.
PICK:
Germany leads after first period 2.04 (Paf.com)Germany wins & under 5,5 goals 2.25 (Veikkaus)Switzerland - Austria 1.20 - 7.00 - 11.00
Two teams and two totally different forms. Switzerland has won both of their games while Austria has lost both. Switzerland has faced Latvia (1-3) and Italy (9-0), while Austria has played Russia (5-0) and Latvia (5-2). Austria has also won only one of their last 10 games including the pre tournament games. No surprise that Kevin Fiala and Nico Hischier are leading the Swiss team in points. Florida Panthers player Vincent Praplan also has 4 points like his fellow NHL mates. There should be no question about the winner here, as Switzerland has better material and they are also in much better form.
Switzerland over 3,5 goals doesn't give the best odds but it's likely to hit. Also in this game it's worth a try to pick up Hischiers and Fialas points and goals.
PICK:
Switzerland over 3,5 goals 1.67Kevin Fiala will score 2.20Nico Hischier will score 2.32Kevin Fiala two points or more 2.00Nico Hischier two points or more 2.00 Also, here's some lower odds picks to combine with each other:
