Sheffield United v Tottenham game preview
With 7 to 8 games left to play this season, English Premier League already has crowned it's champion as Liverpool won the title for the first time in 30 years. Even though the title winner is clear, the fight for Champions League and Europa League spots are still going on. Both teams of this match-up still have a chance to get the spot in Europa League, even in Champions League if everything goes in their favor. Sheffield United v Tottenham will be played on Thursday

Sheffield United v Tottenham - Season statistics so far
The hosts of this match have played spectacular season so far. As a newly promoted team they are currently 9th in the league with 44 points in 31 games. Sheffield United has won 11 games, drawn 11 and lost 9. The Blades have scored 30 goals and allowed 31, which is basically 1 goal for and 1 goal away per game on average. 28-year-old Scottish midfielder John Fleck and 24-year-old French striker Lys Mousset both have 5 league goals this season and are leading their team in goal scoring category.

Interesting fact when it comes to goal scoring is, that both Mousset and Fleck are having a massive goal drought at the moment. Fleck has gone 8 games without scoring, while Mousset is having even more trouble finding the net. The Frenchman has gone whopping 15 games without a goal. In his defence, he hasn't been playing full 90 minutes the whole season.

Tottenham is currently 7th in the league with 45 points in 31 games. The Spurs are 7 points behind the Europa League spot, which is currently held by Wolverhampton. Wolves have played one more game than Tottenham. Tottenham has been scoring more goals than Sheffield United. The Spurs have scored 50 goals, while giving away 41. Harry Kane leads the Spurs in goals with 12 league goals.

Sheffield United v Tottenham - Form after the break
Sheffield United has been in terrible form after the break caused by corona. The Blades have 1 point in their 4 games with goal ratio of 1-8. These four games consist of one FA Cup match, which they lost 1-2 to Arsenal, and three Premier League games (2 losses and a draw). Sheffield has lost to Manchester United and Newcastle, both away ground 3- and had a scoreless draw against Aston Villa, who are fighting not to get relegated.

Tottenham has had a better form after the break. The Spurs have played twice after the break and have won once and drawn once. In their latest game they beat West Ham at home 2-0, and played a 1-1 draw against Manchester United. Before the break The Spurs went 6 games in a row without a win.

Sheffield United v Tottenham - Who to follow?
Sheffield United has one of their biggest stars in the net. 23-year-old Dean Henderson is one of the biggest reasons to Sheffield's success. Henderson is on a loan at Sheffield and is rumored to go back to Machester United after the season. Sheffield United obviously want to keep their star at least for another year. Henderson could save some vital points for The Blades in this game, and he is the one to follow if (and when) he starts for the Blades.

Tottenham has played twice after the break and added two players back to the lineup. Two star players Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane both came back from injuries and had a huge impact straight away. Steven Bergwijn is also one to watch. The Dutchman scored in their game against Manchester United and got subbed in for Lucas Moura in the game against West Ham.

Sheffield United v Tottenham - What to bet?
Tottenham is set to be a favorite in this match and that status is well deserved. If you look at both teams, the Blades are in horrible form and their material is a lot weaker than what Tottenham has. Even though Sheffield almost surprised Arsenal in FA Cup, they are failing to score and they are unable to hold possession in game. Tottenham has really strong team from goalie to attacking force and they still have a lot to prove.

With a win, either team would be really close to Europa League spot. Sheffield will most likely go defence first in this match and Tottenham will take control of the ball. Attacking trio of Kane, Son and Moura could be too much to handle this time. I believe due to their form and stronger material Tottenham has the bigger edge here and they continue to push towards European football next season.
