Chess World Championship 2018
« on: November 17, 2018, 04:47:04 PM »
Anyone else watching the games?

Yesterday was tense and one of the most interesting draws I've seen in a while. Carlsens face was legendary when a reported told him there was a forced mate in 30 when they agreed upon draw.

I still can't believe how poorly both sides have played with white in this tourney: either straight into a dead draw or into a potentially losing position. First game was the strangest one in this sense. I'm betting both players were yelled at afterwards by their seconds. :)

Any bets on who's gonna win? My money is on Carlsen in the rapids but Fabi has been steadily improving and still has three games with white.

12 draws, tiebreaks start on Wednesday. Woulda been 100 to 1 to guess this result correctly.
